endorsement:

The churches in Africa have grown remarkably in recent years, and that growth makes training a top priority. Throughout the continent, Bible schools on a variety of levels have welcomed the opportunity to improve their programs through the process of endorsement.

  1. Defines purpose
  2. Encourages creative change
  3. Conceptualizes future progress
  4. Impacts eternal destiny
  5. Conveys needed recognition of the school within the Assemblies of God of Africa and beyond

Endorsement is for those schools that fervently want their students to have powerful, effective, biblical ministries contributing to the fulfillment of the mission of God.

The first step in endorsement is for a school to draft a purpose statement in keeping with the mission Jesus gave when he said, “Make disciples of all nations.” Once purpose is defined, the school plans how that purpose is to be accomplished considering such factors as curriculum, facilities, budget and relationship with the sponsoring churches.

The key to endorsement is to realize that it is not prescriptive. A school on any level may be endorsed. Endorsement does not imply that a school is striving to be something that does not fit local need. Rather, endorsement enables the school to contribute optimally to the accomplishment of God’s purpose.
