Several of our ministries are briefly described below. Links to other, larger departments of our work are listed on the left.

Africa Library Services Office (ALSO)

This ministry is a distinct office of Africa's Hope. It provides books and library assistance to Bible schools in Africa. Please see their website for further information.

Africa Pentecostal Leadership Institute (APLI)

Africa's Hope serves national church leaders by offering non-credit seminars on:

  • The Biblical model of servanthood
  • What it means to be a Pentecostal leader
  • When to accept and facilitate change
  • Dealing with conflict, crisis, and solutions
  • How to develop and implement a strategic plan
  • Developing administrative and management skills

graduate studies

Africa's Hope functions in a supportive role interacting as requested with these programs in such areas as: curriculum development, staff training, facilitation of teachers and mentors, endorsement services, text and library services (providing books, core library lists, helping with library set-up and training).

The Africa's Hope network includes five schools with graduate-level training:

  • West Africa Advanced School of Theology (WAAST), Lomé, Togo
  • Evangel Theological Seminary (ETS), Jos, Nigeria
  • East Africa Graduate Studies Center (EAGSC), Nairobi, Kenya
  • Cape Theological Seminary (CTS), Cape Town, South Africa
  • All Nations Theological Seminary (ANTS), Lilongwe, Malawi

The Africa Assemblies of God Alliance has mandated the creation of doctoral level studies, and Africa's Hope has been active in the planning of this new initiative. In November 2005 the first cohort will begin doctoral studies in the new Pan-Africa Theological Seminary (PATHS) in Lomé, Togo.

research

Africa's Hope helps students with writing and research in the following areas:

  • Facilitating the mentoring of graduate level writing
  • Graduate level instruction in research methods
  • Consulting advanced students or their mentors on the data analysis and research methodology appropriate to the completion of master's and doctoral final writing assignments.

Africa's Hope also responds to requests concerning research involving Africa's Hope-related theological institutions or churches.
