DeVane and Mary McGee, have served Africa's Hope with distinction for over six years. Yesterday was their last day and they are already missed. A couple of months ago, Mike McClaflin shared with them an urgent need in Liberia. For many years the work in Liberia has struggled. Further, there has been no missionary there to work with the church. When this need was presented to the McGees', their immediate and simultaneous response was "YES."
So, the McGees' are 'on loan' from Africa's Hope to Liberia. They will be building relationships with the leadership of the church in Liberia and focusing on assisting the church with their training programs. Please pray with us for the McGees' and this challenging new opportunity they have said yes to.
There is much work to be done in Liberia, and the McGees' have said 'yes' to the need. I wish we had more people like them because, truly, 'the harvest is plenteous in Africa and the workers are few.'
